Our President

Terry W. Singleton, CFP, REBC, CLU, CFS, RHU

Terry has more than 15 years experience in employee benefits and has an extensive background in fully insured and self funded group health products, voluntary benefits, and retirement planning. He founded Beacon Benefit Consulting in 1990 and has seen the organization grow from a small business start up to one of the fastest growing employee benefit agencies in the state. Terry holds active health, life, and annuities licenses in Florida and many other states.

Additionally, Terry has a Bachelors Degree in Business and successfully completed the requirements for the following special designations: Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Certified Life Underwriter (CLU), Certified Fund Specialist (CFS), and Registered Health Underwriter (RHU). Terry is a member of the Certified Financial Planners Board of Standards, the Society of Financial Service Professionals, the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, the National Association of Health Underwriters. He is also an Alumnus of the Greater Orlando Leadership Foundation, and is Past President and Treasurer of the Seminole County Prayer Breakfast.Terry has lived in the Greater Orlando area for the last thirty years and enjoys spending his free time with his wife and two children.

Our Key Representatives

Carol Taylor

Carol is a licensed health and life agent who manages our Jacksonville office. She has worked in the insurance industry since 1990 in various capacities. She has an extensive background with self funded products, stop loss insurance, and third party administration. In addition, to her health and life license, Carol earned a Bachelors Degree in Accounting from the University of Central Florida.

Carole Singleton

Carole is also a licensed health and life agent in Florida. She has an extensive background in managed care products and has worked in various management positions for both insurance companies and actual providers of health care services. Mrs. Singleton holds an active nursing license in addition to her health and life license in Florida. 

Carlos Thillet

Carlos is a licensed health and life agent and serves as one of our Client Services Managers. He is a graduate of PACE University in New York City where he obtained his BA in Business in 1978. He is licensed in Life, Health and Variable Annuities. Mr. Thillet worked for the Social Security Administration for 27 years and retired from there in 1997.

Kat Soto

Kat is an Internal Support Specialist and COBRA Specialist. Prior to working with Beacon Benefit Consulting, Kat worked in Provider Relations/Contracting for some of the nation’s largest health insurance companies. Kat earned a Bachelors degree from the University of Central Florida in Human Resource Management.
